GREETINGS I WILL LIKE TO GET THE BALL ROLLING ON A PROJECT WHICH I BELIEVE IS LONG OVERDUE. AS ANY ONE WHO HAS EVEN TRIED TO STUDY THE GATHAS KNOWS THERE IS A LOT OF DIFFERENCES IN WORD MEANING IN THE DIFFERENT TRANSLATIONS I BELIEVE THAT ASIDE FROM THE AGE OF THE GATHIC DIALECT THESE DIFFERENCES AMONG THE VARIOUS TRANSLATIONS COULD BE RESOLVED BY A GROUP TRANSLATION DONE BY SOME OF THE MANY WONDERFUL SCHOLARS IN THIS FIELD.IN THIS WAY WE WILL BE ABLE TO STANDARDIZE THE MEANINGS OF WORDS AND GET A TRANSLATION BASED ON THE CONSENSUS OF MANY SCHOLARS RATHER THAN ON THE OPINIONS OF ONE OR TWO THIS MAY ALSO GO A LONG WAY IN POPULARIZING THE GATHAS BY MAKING THEM READILY UNDERSTANDABLE AND QUOTABLE BY THE MAJORITY OF THE LAY PEOPLE WHAT'S YOUR OPINION?
