Dorood, I hope all is well. I was searching for some content to read on the web when I discovered all your sites (Rumi, Hafez, Khayam, and Zarathushtra). I was tremendously impressed and enlightened. I am currently in school and will return home the first week of December. I live in Irvine, CA. I visited Iran last year for two months and backpacked through majority of cities there. I have 700 pictures of Iran and I was looking for a web site to post them on. They are not digital, but I would say that there are about 300-400 good photos for people to see around the world and discover the history and beauties of Iran on the web. My pictures include: Parsa, Pasargad, Naghsh-e-Rostam, Shiraz, Firooz-Abad, Yazd, Bam, Mahan, Kerman, Isfahan, Kashan, Mashad, Maasooleh, Variuos regions in Caspian sea.

Please email me at either shar-m@home.com or opusopus@yahoo.com.

Best regards,

Shahryar

Very nice and informative site. However, the birth place of Zoarastar is not quite accurate as it is phrased "North-East Ancient Iran". There was no Iran at that time...there was Aryana...and the exact city of his birth was Bakhtiar, the mother of all cities. Aryana does not equal Iran, nor does it equal Fars. This mistake is made on nearly every website I have seen thus far. The use of the term Iran as a substitute for Aryana, Khorasan, or Persia is very misleading.

Dear Shahriar,

I incidently found your homepage on the net and have read your interesting article comparing the old-indian chakra concept with the amesha spentas. In fact I have also often thought of a comparison during my Avesta studies - but the problem is that a) the amesha spentas have opponents (e.g. angra mainyu, drug, etc.) so they are 12 in total and b)the comparison can not be proved by any philological means.

best regards,

F. T. Lankarany

I have been interested in Zarathustra since I was 16 years old 45 years ago. I have written several pieeces, but none of them have been published. Five years ago, I wrote on the text of Yasna 43.6 At the last turning point of time Armaiti will proclaim words of unmistakeable judgement. I compared this with Wisdom's standing in the marketplace in Proverbs 1.20. And the marketplace was the World Trade Center. I also likened Psalm 82 to the Yatha Ahu Vairyo. Judges are called Gods, but they must die because they do not defend the poor. Last year I compared Yasna 29 to to Psalm 82. Both are about God in a council of "Sons of God". I used the translation of Hinz, stanza 3, where the ox says "They do not understand". That is the same complaint as in Psalm 82.5. Geush Tasha is one of the sons of God. He is sent to live and die on Earth. As Hinz identified Geush Yasha with Jesus, I wrote that we have christmas because of a cow. Would you like to see these pieces. Yours truly Edward woolf

Dear Sir/Madam

Although I am not officially one of the member of Zoroastrian religion, but for some years I have been trying to educate myself, understand and rediscover my and my country's heritage and roots in the teaching of Zarathushtra, who I now believe can be the divine and invisible teacher and spiritual guider of all Iranian and those who follow his teachings.

I took my spiritual journey to discover myself, understand and appreciate my and my fellow Iranian very high and rich zoroastrian culture and traditions that although has been diluted over the years but still being capable of shining through in the daily life of most Iranian.

I have no doubt given the opportunity most, if not all, Iranian would embrace Zarathushtra as their teacher. In fact, i believe many of his teachings being practiced by most Iranian without actually being conscience of it intellectually.

This leaves me with great hope that perhaps one day all Iranian like myself rediscover, appreciate and practice their rich Zoroastrian heritage, tradition and culture.

As far as my own contribution to this cause concerned, I am actually contemplating with the idea to establish a distinct political, social, and cultural zoroastrian liberation movement with the ultimate aim of freeing Iran from the tyrany and barbarism of what we are all witnessing or experiencing first hand in our beloved homeland Iran.

The other main aim of this organisation, of course, would be to re-establish zoroastrianism as the state religion and a powerful uniting political force in Iran and beyond.

Considering the disillutionment, despair and disunity among Iranian political organisations and individuals in Iran and abroad, this unique organisation, I believe, would be capable of uniting not only large number of Iranian but also large number of political organisations inside and outside the country.

I believe, presently most Iranian consciously or unconsciously seeking desperately to believe on an alternative value system and beliefs that would replace Islamic laws and traditions that has been and still being imposed on us forcefully.

Unfortunately, in the past most of our intellectuals and political leaders have been looking to replace Islam in Iran by foreign idiologies and political systems that have no moral basis in most Iranian value system and beliefs. Over many centuries, we Iranian have inherently learnt that no foreign culture, idiology, and political system is fully compatible with our high and rich zoroastrian culture and traditions.

Even Islam finds itself on a very shaky foundation in present Iran. But unless, a viable political force that bases its idiology on something that most Iranian are relatively familiar with and open to, i believe very little can be done to free Iran from tyrny and subjucations to other foreign forces and cultures.

As a result, I am currently working my mind around setting the constitution, laws and regulations of this mainly political and social organisation. In doing so, I thought to contact your organisation and get some feed back from who ever interested in this idea/endeveour.

Let me clear that from the outset that i don't intend to create a religious organisation rather a political liberation movement to unite Iranian around something that is theirs.

so, I appreciate receiving any responses from who ever read this message of mine. I can be contacted through my e-mail address: majidkhos@hotmail.com

My fellow Iranian let create the environment in which Zarathushtra can teach us the answers to our present desperation.

With regards

Majid Khosravani

My dear Zarathustris, Practice Zarathustri religion rather than opening more sites with colorful pictures of Zarathustra. Your soul is not going to carry these sites with you. Neither you become religious or community-oriented by opening such site. We have sufficient resources to learn religion. Rather than opening one more site to prove your internet knowledge you might as well WORK FOR YOUR SOUL "Iristanam Urvaano Yazamaide, Yao Ashoaonam Fravashiyo" and help your soul attain salvation via your practicing, I mean seriously practicing our religious Tarikats. If you are interested, you may email me or read my articles on www.zarastrian.com. If this message can turn around even one Zarathustri towards HIS Source, I will think I did my job through this message.

In His Service, Ervad (Dr.) Hoshang J. Bhadha

In the US reside a large number of Iranians. After the Islamic revolution, and especially after the 9-11 attack on America, many of them want little to do with Islam. Many are geuinenly interested in knowing more about Zarathushtra and their roots. In Iran, a Muslim who converts to another faith will be killed. In the US however there is freedom of religion. With our shrinking numbers, our only hope is to RECONVERT these Persians to Zorastranism.

I was very impressed by your web site !! It's unfortunate that more of the western world does not know about our sacred religion. But I guess we can thank Islam for that !! That religon that calls itself 'peacefull'?? religon. I guess were living proof of their 'peaceful' religon, for the last 1500 years,by trying to wipe us of the face of the earth in our oun homeland!!!! I only hope that in 500 years down the road,in history, that we will still be around, and not in the history books !!!! Keep up the website, and by the grace of Ahura Mazda, may our great and ancient religon flourish !!!!
