Thank You very much for a most interesting site.

Allow me to be personal.

I have not been a religious person in this life. But I have been interested in philosophy.

When I came to read Nietzsche`s book "Also sprach Zarathustra" I was full of expectation. I somehow knew that this was a good guy full of wisdom.

When I started reading I felt sick and deeply disappointed: THIS WAS NOT HOW ZARATHUSTRA WAS. Nietzsche was an ugly lier putting durt to a good name.

Several times during the years I tried to read that book, but I allways gave up with a bad feeling.

But I was not able to find out about the real Zarathustra. I wondered why I had such positive feeling about that name. And why was I able to imagine his feet wearing white sandals?

I later found out that my feelings were connected to recollections from former lives where I had been connected to Zoroaster - in a number of incarnations!

I have never been nihilist in my former lives. And I feel this site is closer to Zarathustra than Nietzsche ever was.

(-About the name Nietsczhe: He came from Poland where the word "nié" means "no"!)

Good Luck with Your Site!

This is the best site I have come across on the subject. I am tracing Zarathushtra's Influence on the 19th century European philosophers and composers. Very intrigued by this subject and always want to find out more. Is there a difference in the spelling Zoroaster and Zarathushtra?

Very interesting kind of page, I´m 19 years old and just started to study anthropology (here in Germany it`s "Ethnologie"). One topic I have met now is the Iranian prophet Zarathustra which I think to be more than just interesting. At the time I´m working for an essay about the theory if Zarathustra can be re- garded as a shamane. If anyone has ideas and facts about this topic I would be very happy for more informations. Of course not only concerning this special theory but also any other informations about this man of religion´s history.

Peace and blessings to All

Your site is quite beautiful and very informative. I especially like the titled portion "Walking in the steps of our forefathers". I too practice a religion that is not common nor even fully accepted in here in the West (USA). I am always seeking information and suggestions on how I can establish the religious traditions of my foremothers/fathers in full with all of its beauty and healing glory.

I would like to know if you have any chapters here in the USA and do you have any suggestions on how someone like me can get started in putting forth my own traditions. What is your funding? Do you receive any government help at all? I hope to hear from your wisdom soon.

Peace Awotunde Ifaseeyin Sangobemi Karade

excellent, informative site !!! some thing to be proud of, for every true Parsi/Irani I was a little disappointed to find out that you must be born into the religion and can not join into it. I think this is very counter productive for a fabulous religion for which the global timing is absolutely ripe.

In the name of Mazda Ahura

Our great Iranian prophet, Zoroaster gave us the greatest and the best religion in the world. It is our duty to protect the most perfect religion, Zoroastrianism. It is our right to be proud of this religion and our prophet. This is the religion which many other religions are affected by. I thank you in advance that you show a part of this great religion to others who are interested to know about it. The Mazda protect you from bad forces.

THE WAY IS JUST ONE AND IT IS THE TRUENESS.

Hi!!

I havent as yet been able to have a look at all of the website, however, my comment is on Shahriars book "life's driving lessons". I found the book excellent and would receommend it to anybody who wants to get an understanding of the Gathas. THe genius of the book is in its simplicity! The examples are so simple yet so profound. Kids and adults would find it a great read!!!

Mubruk! My congratulations. I am providing a translation of the Yatha, if it is of any use to you... YATHA AHU VAIRYO Just as Ahura Mazda is Tatha Ratush So is a God realized teacher Ashat chit hacha Because of his knowledge Vangheush Dazda Manengho The gift of a good mind (Divine intellect) Shyaothenanam Angheush Mazda Comes to him who surrenders to the Divine Will of Ahura Xshathrem cha Ahurai The power and glory of Ahura A yim dregubyo Who is unmanifest Dadat vastarem Appears in the manifested cosmo

Yatha As is Tatha So is Ashat practice of chit knowledge hacha because of Vangheush gift Dazda good Manangho mind Shyaothenanam surrender Angheush Divine Will Mazdai of Mazda Xshathrem enlightenment cha and Ahu-rai Glory of Ahu (God) a yim who is dregubyo unmanifest dadat appears vastarem manifested cosmos

As is God, so also is a self realized spiritual Master (self realized by his Unity with the Consciousness that is God), because he has both the knowledge and the experience of divinity. This knowledge is not restricted to the few, but is attainable by all, through the practice of meditation wherein, by determination and communication with the higher Self, one surrenders the obdurate will of ego to the Divine Will, born of the Divine Intellect. The use of logic, will and intellect are free to mankind; but while man must reason, and will, and act, he should also seek the assistance of the Divine Intellect to guide his reason and his will to the RIGHT action. This is the “surrender” spoken of both in this affirmation, and in “The Lord’s Prayer” of the Christians where it is said, “Thy will be done”. Then, through implicit faith in one’s higher Self and in the guidance received, is born the acceptance of both good times and rough times. And acceptance in turn breeds the understanding that the mortal ego is tied only to the mortal body, but the Soul is eternal, untouched, unchanging, blissful and One. The fetus is not separate from the mother, the wave is always a part of the ocean, and the Soul or Self is a part of the Creator. The wave dancing on the crest of the ocean, crashes on to the shore, but falls back in to the ocean and is once more the ocean. Creation is like a computer network - the main server is connected by tributaries to a multitude of computers. The software is pre-loaded on the main server and is accessible by all the remote computers. Without that main Server, the remotes are only hardware; but, CONNECTED to the Server, they are precise performers, capable of much that is yet undreamed in this mortal world!

It's very good site. I really liked it and in today's world very few people have been religious minded. There is no path without God in this world and one has to believe to live in him. Todays younster should really see it & their parents should guide & inspire them to see such things so that they can get inspiration from it.

Thank you so much for this wonderful piece of work. There is so much blessedness in it to share, not just with Zoroastrians but with everyone in the world. I sent it immediately to my daughter Shenaya and will continue to share it with family and friends. With much love and great respect,

I love this site!

I still need to explore a little so my questions may be answered but I am finding it a little difficult to get an overview of the Zoroastrian faith.

What is it that Zarthusthra "found out" or, what was the nature of his transformation?

What was the religion at the time? Do we know?

Are the majority of his teachings in the Gatha?

Was he a healer of sick and feeder of the hungry?

Was he aware of the Quantum, the true nature of time, space, events, ideas and thoughts?

I have a deep fondness for Iran and its people and history and will one day visit!

I am trying to look up into my own religion but....somehow i feel there is alot of racism in the way parents bring up their children.....u cant marry a non parsi and non parsi can eneter the temples.....it is the house of Lord......we have to welcome other human being in it....i cant understand this zoroastrian community and i am sad to be one of them...and why is it a sin if we cannot have the vultures burial because we dont have such service int he place where we live???? Get real zoroastrians.....

in my search to find the truth of our root in historical evidence of our ancestor i got chance to visit your great web site ( which was very useful) but as an ayran persian i urge you to not forget where you come from and who were your great forefathers & what they did accomplish? it is inevitable to separate zoroastrianism off persians & iranianism and ayran of our origin i was surprise when i saw you recognize your self as an american it's really disappointed me than a persian zoroasterian yang gril with such a quality dosn't call herself a persian but an american i don't know about you my blood but i was born in the holyland of iranzamin in the heart of persia pars SHIRAZ and i was blessed by wondering for hours into the persepolis where ahuramazda used to be worship by good aryans the nobels and his holy fire was blazing for real not only in internet """ but unfortunately i had to leave my motherland aryazamin becuze ahriman captured the holy land once again killed the light since than lived in sweden but i never forgot who i am and where iam coming from i wasn't born as a zoroasterian but iam zoroasterian in origin my ancestors were immortal soldiers served the kingdom of ahuramazda and i proudly call my self a persian now it's my holy responsibility and your's to restor the empire of ahuramazda in evry way we can to bring glory back to our holy land iranzamin zoroaster never said become slave to ahriman ahuramazda will puish the follower of lie i hope we the true worshiper of ahuramazda in the name of yazdan bringe the light to the land that 3739 years ago zoroaster stepped his feet on it's soil blessed is iranzamin by his name

Thank you for a beautiful, soul-stirring site. It has greatly improved since I last visited it. It is an opportunity for all Zarthustis and the world to learn more about this universal religion of ours. The GATHAS spell out a 'way of life' which can be applied to our daily lives, our activites, our daily 'journey.' It takes us back to the source of our BEING, the perfect life manifest in all outer expression through 'humata, hukhta, hvarshta'. We NEED TO REALISE THIS.
