About twenty years ago, I read a book featuring Ahura Mazda. At the time, I thought the book (which came in two volumes, each about 400 pp.long) was bordering on the mythological. Now I found out it was, and the myth was Zoroastrian. Unfortunately, I can't remember either the title or the author. I think the author's name began with an S ... maybe. If any body can think of the book, I'd appreciate it if they could mail me it. http://soren_mickelson@yahoo.com

I am a parsi, nice web site. I am proud to be a parsi, however what puts me off is the older parsi generation. for e.g my father is set in his ways very, parsi this and parsi that. i am getting married to a panjabi sikh girl whom i met at university. I am being treated like a criminal by my father who is now telling me i am not his son if i go ahead and marry my fiance. Is it actually written in our holy scriptures that we are not allowed to divulge in such activity?????? am i really a bad person because i allowed my heart to fall in love???? please acknowledge as i would like some answers. Thank you.

You have a great website and I wrote of my personal experiences so you could understand the great mircle that happen that would be of great importants all people of Zoroastrians, Jewish and Indo-Scythian descent. Raksha Bandhan is also known as Rakhi is the battle between demons and gods. For thousand of years Asuras which gypsies are were taught as demons even thought we are the oldest and senior race and we rule heaven long before Devas did. In some part of Hinduism Devas are consider good and Asuras evil. But in Zoroastrian the gypsies original relegion Asuras are good and Devas are evil. Abraham the father of all Jews was Asuras. I am Afro-romani my came from Persian Jews and Zoroastrians both Brahui and Gujjars that came form Eastern Iran from the Caspian to Baluchistan. They are B- Rh negative. In the Summer of 2003 about the time of 08/12/2003 but Hare Krisha and Durga family where jion agian after thousand of years and celebrated in a special puja or pray and Kali-Durga or Kali-Sara as gypsies called her appear along with Varuna as the Cosmic Order of Things and an Asura Angel to me as a glow of light in the dark and Supernaturally ripe my heart out and then tought me three time and blessing me. After that all kinds of Lost Souls Supernaturally stabed the shit out of me and shot guns at me some small guns some big guns and my body was supernaturally bleeding to death I could see anything but I felt everything because I was Sin-Eater a special race of people who have the abilities to let people like Asuras to inter heaven. I absorb all there sins and That is how Asuras or Atlantean Vampires to back control of heaven then a couple days later they started appearing on earth in broad daylight. First I saw Kali-Durga or Kali-Sara, She was a Tall beautiful women with a hybrid dress or Maharani or rajput women and Native American women with gold embriodery and bejeweled with a Durga earing in hear nose. They I saw Chinese Asuras and Sicilian Asuras then I also Leader of the Atlantean Vampire race or the Leader of Asuras Varuna he look like Aborignal Caucasian with a extremly old sytle of Dhoti or Brahmin priest cloths and he was carrying a handful of sarced text in his right arm and he was barefooted. This was the Omni-potent God that created the Universe and guardian of the Cosmic Order of things or Rta along with Kali-Durga who the female verse of Cosmic Order of Things. Asuras or Vampires everywhere the Congo to India, through out southeast asian in the in New Guinea and the Pacific Islands and North and South America. Asuras started appearing everywhere on earth. Iran and India are the headquaters for Atlantean Vampires and Asuras and gypsies are come form Asuras like Krishna, Durga, Kali and Varuna and sage Bhrigu who is directly related to the Rom and Sinti gypsies they originally indigeones Dravidian or Veddah people who came the Middle East long time ago. As an Iranian, I was not too aware of our Zorastrian past. Recently, I read the book "Why I am not a Muslim" by Ibn Warraq, where he writes about how Iran becam Islamic. I am seriously considering reconverting to the religion of our forefathers. Is that possible in the USA?

Hello.I am not Zaroastrian but I am very proud that back in history my ancectors were Zoroastrians.Zoroaster was the first who gatherd together almost all moral and ethical rool.I will just state here his fundamental doctrine of Free Will.In Gathas it is stated that "all men are God creation and by that thay belong to God;also God created them Free and men has the right too choos" I think wiyh this doctrine he introduces to the world th idea of Democracy. Also, Islam at first recognized only Judaism and Christrianism as a "people pf Book",but later Islam also recognized Zoroastrianism as the first in preching Monotheism. I think the fact that Islam recognized Zoroastrism later in time, today people have missunderstanding that Islam does not recognize Zoroastrianis. Cyrush the great took control over Egipt aroun 59 B.C and freed Juwes from slavery and even helped them built their Sinagogs. Zoaster teches his followers that God created Men from one substence and that means people are from one father. He states that people Men should unite together and take care afer each other, defeat th Evil together- and this th idea of SOLIDARITY. Can you imagen the time in which he lived and these fundamental doctrines.I think Zoroastrianism built furm foundation for Islam in Iran and Central asia. Zoroaster himself says that he is the savior but he is only the first one.He said their will be more of us. He predicted the time of the Jesus and said. I saw the star of the child and this child will be from my family."I will be him and he will be me"

Mazdayasna or Zoroastrianism was offered by Zarathushtra Spitama to the whole humanity more than three thousand years ago. It was the religion of Iranian Peoples for centuries. It is heartwarming to read people of Iranian origin or otherwise are accepting the religion of Zarathushtra as their owns. Let us all, no matter from whic country, nationality and race; do our good contributions to the world and as Mazdayasni Zartoshtis.

My name is Roxanne and I live in London.I am the grandaughter of the late Rashid Shahmardan who would have been 100 yrs old on 5 April 2005. I believe a jashan is being held at the Zoroastrian Anjuman in Iran and his name is on the honours list. My grand father was a much loved and renowned man and has written several books commissioned by the Shah of Iran in the 70s for the Iranian library. I'd like to know more about the jashan and anything else about him from those who knew him personally and postumously.

Hi All, Awesome website! I am very glad to see the resurgence of pride amongst the Zorastrian Community especially the youth. Having grown up in India, one of the things I realized was that older Zorastrians did not want to yeild control or encourage the youth to get involved in important community issues. The Zorastrian youth need to take control, become more vocal, active and involved in how their decisions affect the future of our community especially when it comes to how the trust monies etc are being spent or controlled (not every Zorastrian trustee lives by our religions honesty creed). Fortunately our forefathers have left us quite a bit, let not a few corrupt squander it on the wrong things. So I urge the youth to understand the issues and get involved. Great Website and keep up the good work Youhan Mubaraki CEO Mazda Technologies 48511 Warm Springs Blvd Suite 204 Fremont CA 94539 Tel # 510 440 8988 Cell # 925 699 4700

Great & informative site. I've been here briefly a time or two before, and will surely be back again. Several years ago I had the opportunity to read Sir Rustom Masani's book "Zoroastrianism - the Religion of the Good Life" This originally sparked my interest in Zoroastrian teachings and strengthened my conviction the the major world religions all have truth and guidance to give, if people will listen and take it to heart. In my own faith (I happen to be an active Mormon) we have similar affirmations about free will, the use of one's mind and conscience, and serving one's fellow beings, seeking after the good, etc. Though Zoroaster's life is not known in detail to modern historians, I have no doubt that God spoke to him and through him.My own faith encourages people to seek after those things which are "virtuous, lovely, of good report, or praiseworthy." There is certainly much that matches that description in Zoroastrianism.

I am not surprised to note that the website owner has posted articles of non-Zoroastrians or people who are book scholars, reading somebody else's opinion and acknowledging that by forming their own opinion. There is NO ONE or I should say, this website has nnot a single article from teh Traditional Zoroastrian or a Priest. The reader must understand that Zoroastrianism is a PRACTICE. It is composed of Rituals and Ceremonies. Without it, it has no value, in fact there is nothing in Zoroastrianism without rituals and ceremonies. Now, I would like to ask the owner of this website and the people who wrote the articles that how far they practice and how much they know about Rituals and Ceremonies and believe to have knowledge of our religion to preach through this website? Again Zoroastrianism is NOT a Philosophy or NIGHT-Time reading book on imaginations. Hope this message will enlighten everyone, I mean Zoroastrians ONLY, to be Proud of their heritage and start practicing this religion. Regards, Ervad Hoshang J. Bhadha Ph.D.

An Indian Sikh friend of mine told me about the Zorastrians or Parsis as they are called in India. He told me about the great respect the Indians have for them...of their charities...of their contribution to India, which is completely out of proportion to their numbers. He also told me that sadly, their numbers are on a decline. I thought..There are thousands of Iranian Muslims in the USA and in Europe. Their real roots are not in Arabian Islam, but in Persian Zorastrianism. Many of them do not know much about their roots. Could the remaining Parsis not try and reach out to these people and try to get them to reconvert to the kindest and most peaceful of religions!!! This would help rejuvenate the Zorastrian community, and also relieve the rest of us of having potentially dreaded Islamists in our midsts!

Excellent site! I truly enjoyed reading many of the articles. Of course, anyone should be free to join our religion or leave. (Anyone who thinks that all Parsees are of the same race are mistaken! in fact, Indians are of different races and so are the parsees. So we have different faces and features.) I hope to read more on this site as well.

Excellent site. I hope to read more on conversion in the future! I am appalled to read that many other Parsees believe in such nonsense as pure blood and race. They forget that they themselves are all mixed. Not all Parsees are the same race. So we have amny different faces and features. I know Parsees that look Indian, look Caucasion, and look Southeast Asian. How can we all be the same race, when in fact India has different races. Rubbish! Good luck to you and all those that seek to join the religion.
